ABOUT RIECHERS TRUCK BODIES
Riechers was founded in Washington, Missouri by Milford H. Riecher and his brothers in 1934. The original location was on Main Street in downtown, close to the riverfront. In 1956 the company moved from the Main Street location in Washington and expanded to a new facility located at 615 Madison Avenue, also in Washington.
Initially our core business was truck body manufacturing for landscaping, construction, railroad beds, agricultural farm equipment, wagons and grain beds for hauling wreath, corn and beans to the market. The early year’s truck beds and wagons were made from oak including the cross members and long sills.
In July of 2008, Riechers moved to its current location at 6470 Michels Drive in Washington, MO. The new facility included over 16,000 square feet of manufacturing space, ample room to continue the growth of Riechers. In 2015 we expanded our facility and now manufacture out of 20,000 square feet of space.
While ownership has switched hands a few times over the years, Riechers has always been owned by families.
The Riechers Family originally owned the business and later sold to Merril Schelich who continued the growth of the company. In 1996 Jim Wilson and Walter Schmidt purchased the company and operated Riechers until late 2008 when Gilbert, Wayne and Roland Mohesky purchased the business. In 2018, Coin Acceptors, a St. Louis based company owned by the Jack Thomas family acquired Riechers and currently operates the business out of the facility on Michels Drive in Washington.
While the location and ownership has changed over the years the company principals have not. Riechers started with three main principles, Quality, Durability, and Pride in Manufacturing. These principles are still our foundation today.
Riechers has grown over the years and is now a complete Truck Body & Equipment Manufacturing Company. Riechers has become a Regional Leader in the manufacturing and installation of Truck Bodies. We build and install truck bodies for almost all industries; Landscaping, Nursery, Hauling to Contracting.
We manufacture heavy duty Stake Beds, Flat Beds, Landscaping Beds, Dump Bodies, Lumber Beds, Grain Beds, and Contractor Beds.
